After moving to Oxford with her mother and brother, Emma Watson attended The Dragon School, a private preparatory school, until June 2003 and then moved to Headington School, another private all-girl school, also in Oxford. While on film sets, Watson and her friends were tutored for up to five hours a day.

Despite the focus on filming she maintained high academic standards and got very good grades. She is a self-avowed serious student at the all-girls school in Oxford. Emma Watson also signed on for the final two installments of the series, but decided to temporarily put further project offers aside to give more focus on her studies.

Over the years, Emma Watson has formed a strong platonic relationship with fellow Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. She also described it as a unique support system and it can't really be explained. Whilst Radcliffe and Grint used to tease her when they were younger, they are now protective of their friend.
